Everything growing pretty well now, main challenge is dealing with the heat. Being on a slope the water drains from here fairly quickly and when the temperature is in the thirties I find I sometimes have to give it a good soaking morning and evening to keep everything alive.

Are you allowed to irrigate using seeping hoses, Gillian? Your young plants and annuals may appreciate the steady supply of water.

I think it's been raining ever since I posted this, we've had the wettest July in years, so my garden is really quite happy at the moment!

Oh dear, sorry to be so out of touch. I haven't been able to keep up to date with life on GoY this month and am still catching up!
I am pleased to hear your garden has appreciated the rain, but hope there have been some sunshine breaks for you to enjoy the results of all your hard work.
