Strange dots on the rose.

I am thinking out loud, could it be water damage ?

If you look at my own questions entitled 'Can anyone tell me what this is on my Rose Margaret Merrill' posted in June 2011 a photo which had a white rose of mine covered in spots the answer cam back as rain spots.

Thank you. This was a new information for me, as first of all I thought it was caused by some insects.
