Dicentra macrocapnos - 2014

This is a scrambler rather than a climber, reaching several feet. The similar D. scandens reaches three feet, and the two are often mixed up so be aware of what size plant you are getting. Slow in the early years, but once it has got going, watch out! It won't smother anything, but romps over everything in the vicinity.

Thanks for the info, I have/had scandens up my Rosa Guinee, but stupidly dug into the root, so it's now in a pot for some TLC, but no sign of top growth again.
