Acanthus spinosus - 2014

Perennial for well-drained soil in full sun. Some people complain it spreads, but I think it is self-sown seedlings adding to the size of the plant; deadhead promptly to avoid this. Once established, if you try to move it, the smallest piece of root will regrow.

Yes, silly choice for a small garden. I am now Glyphosate-ing the leaves of the bits I don't want, every 10 days if they reappear. I will win!

You will win eventually Siris. I dug out one out about five years ago, and managed to finally get rid of it the following year.

Yes got mine out last year and it keeps reappearing which I knew it would, I do like it but wanted a change :/
