Self-sown Spotted Orchid in Garden

what a beauty! i just love it when the flowers decide where they want to grow, don't you?

I was delighted when I noticed a small clump of spotted leaves in the corner of an old sink-planter last spring & watched its progress with enthusiasm every day, until the first flower appeared in late June. This year it was 2 weeks earlier & much more robust. Must be happy where it is!
