The violas had got tatty and leggy - so I replanted the trough yesterday.

Yes, they're Begonia 'Burning Embers' and the other plant is an Ipomoea. I was delighted to find the Begonias, as they're what I'd hoped to plant. They were half price, too - can't be bad!

that dark leafed begonia[?] is stunning. what is the reddy/brown foliage plant inbetween them?
I do like your gate trough, I knew your gate as soon as I walked up to it. gosh that was nearly a year ago !
