Ceanothus 'Gloire de Versailles' - 2014 (Ceanothus 'Gloire de Versailles')

Deciduous form of Californian lilac. It carries its main flush of flowers now on a bush five feet or more tall, and another smaller flush in the autumn. It will also take pruning - cut back to within a bud of the previous year's growth in spring as it starts to shoot.

Is this one short lived like the other varieties of Ceanothus?

DD - I've had this for seven years so far, and it's still extremely vigorous, so I'm hoping it's not going to suddenly die on me.
