Gaildardia - blanket flower

The annual blanket flower is a native of the Plains states to the East Coast. The name "blanket flower" comes from its resemblance to Indian blankets, blooming in yellow, orange, red, and their combinations.

Thanks Sandra. This is an easy one to grow. To me it's very much like a cysanthemum. It just needs lots of sun, don't let it dry out. It was a half dead cheapy I picked up from Home Depot (Garden Center) I planted it in a sunny location, threw a bucket of water over it and the very next day it was blooming like nobody's business and will continue until winter takes it out. It just needs deadheading, but bring a lot of color to the landscape.
