Thank you both :O) It will be warm and cosy for the baby this winter, think it looks a little big for 0-6months but thinking about how big Sarah was when she was born it will not swamp Baby Pink.:O)

Jamie was 8lb 11oz which was nearly as big as me at the time Lol!! It's lovely looking at all the baby clothes before the big event x

Thanks girls, they do look like they are 3 months old when they are that big at birth. lol.

Pleased you like looking Annie. lol I think I might get a bit boring eventually though. lol.

Just been down town and bought another pattern, for a jacket and hat. We have a weddding coming up around Easter 2015 and wanted to knit something special to go with a posh frock for baby pink. :O) It will be her first big family get together. Sarah's cousin Joanne is getting hitched and we are all going to the wedding in York.

Thank you Melchi, it is lovely and soft but was horrible to knit with the yarn. :O)

I am even more impressed now - I hadn't realised it was knitted - I thought it was sewn. I have done a lot of dressmaking in my time, but I am a rubbish knitter!

lol I am a rubbish sewer. lol but have managed to do some bunting for baby pink :O) lol :O) thanks Melchi glad your impressed - hope baby pink is. lol

Oh that looks so cosy, Oliveoil. I'm pretty rubbish at sewing and knitting, so no baby knits etc from me. Perhaps just as well, the baby would like a tramp wearing anything I'd made. Dolly clothes are my limit lol!

Oh Waddy I am not good but can manage the simple things, as with most of my life skills. lol gardening being one of them also. Simple is what I aim for. lol :O) its ok not to be able to do knitting and sewing in fact sometimes I wish I was not able to as I get asked to do more and more lol. :O) I had nightmares with the sewing when Sarah wanted me to do the centre pieces for the table decorations at her wedding, they were in Black organza type material and it slipped and moved around all the time I was sewing with it. I could not get the darned stitch the right length for the fabric and I got myself in such a tizzy. I did do them all in the end but I was not impressed with them, she liked them so I suppose that is all that matters. But I had real nightmares about the darned things. lol.

Oh my goodness, table centres? No way!
My daughter-in-law asked me to do the flowers when she married our son. I was very flattered, but scared to death. Thankfully all turned out fine and she was pleased with the results. The one thing I can do is Cross Stitching. I'm busy making a baby birth sampler at the moment for our next granddaughter, due at the end of October.

I have one of those to do, but so much knitting I do not think I shall be doing it just yet. lol. I have got a pattern from a lady who does her own designs so I suppose I shall have to get on with it at some stage. Not really me cross stitch, I have a table cloth which I started in the long hot summers of 75/76 and it is still needing to be finished although it is embroidered not cross stitch and very full of flowers and all need filling in. It would look lovely if only I could get on with it and get it finished off. lol. not something I ever get out these days, too much gardening to do. lol. Probably I ought to sit out in the garden and get it finished. but what is sitting? lol.

Guilty too lol! I also have a table cloth to embroider. I bought it to do and give as a gift for a friend, that was five years ago and apart from one small corner, I've not done much more since. It also has flowers to fill in, like yours. Perhaps I should get it out to do in the winter, when I'm not out in the garden quite so much. As for sitting in the garden...are you kidding? The odd breather yes, but as for sitting....

glad there is not only me that is a bit slow with the embroidery. lol :O) what are we like!! I know exactly that about being able to sit, no chance at the minute, much too much to be doing elsewhere, in fact I shall have to cut the grass it is becoming a meadow lol :O) tomorrows job, cricket teas this afternoon and pub tonight. lol. no time for gardening, but did manage to get Sarah's tidied up for her so not all that idle really. :O)

At the moment, I'm making a "white garment" for my granddaughter's baptism in October. It's very simple - a bit like a bib without a tie. My great friend, who was Godmother, presented one to my first - apparently it was a local custom when she was living in Canada. It's not an essential piece of kit - I just had a white shawl for my other two - but it's quite a nice idea.
