After the rain, Rhapsody in Blue, blooms so much smaller this year, I wonder why?

That's Rhapsody in Blue Katarina. Wow, look at it shooting up. I'm glad it's not only me that has it growing like a climber...although I don't actually have one in this garden!

You mean the rose from David Austin, Karen, or blue Clematis Rhapsody? Gershwin was excluded, lol.

Yes, DA rose. It's lovely isn't it. The flowers might be smaller Angela, but the colour is intense. :)

Thanks for the compliment Katarina, as K rightly says it is a DA rose and is has this very annoying habit of sending up long shoots, not attractive, but forgiven because of the beautifully coloured blooms.

I'm going to have three more standards in the patio border next year Angela. They are so lovely. I have always fancied growing roses as standards and I'm not disappointed.

What a good idea K......we have 9 buds on Hot Chocolate and with all this expected sunshine we might get some blooms....fingers crossed.....

Yes, two of my three have a whole load of new buds on waiting to open. Their third flush! I am so pleased with them!

My goodness, you have very nice garden! I wonder, are those deep purple flowers on the right/middle roses?
