Begonia grandis subsp evansiana - 2014

A hardy begonia (I've been growing it for seven years now) for a humus-rich soil that stays moist without becoming waterlogged. It needs a bright position, but not full sun - light shade or a position where it catches the evening sun suits it best. About a foot and a half tall.

I bought a B evansiana from Spinners in the New Forest, some 15 years ago, still got it. Have had to move it because we have removed the tree that was shading it from the full sun. Mine has a rim of darker colouration on the leaves, must be a different variety.
