Black Oak

Over 200 years old. 115 feet tall, trunk 57 inch diameter. It was just a seedling at time of American Revolution. Native to Eastern United States.

I have several of the large oaks growing on my hillside, but haven't taken the time to establish which I have. I know that the huge old one at the top of the hill that marks our property line is a white oak...and that there are a couple of pin oaks in the neighbourhood. They are so majestic..great atmospheric photo.
