Flowers at last! Perennial from Mexico for good soil in a sheltered position in full sun. Although it will take a degree or two of frost, the top growth is usually killed off during the winter but grows six feet or more during the season. Apply a mulch to protect the roots from heavy frosts. The yellow pea flowers are carried in the autumn.
