Unwanted Visitor ....... HELP PLEASE.

Took this photo today, this creature has been burrowing around the garden borders for a few weeks now. I was hoping it would eventually make its way back into the farmers field. It seems to like it in our garden and is overstaying its welcome. Would appreciate any advice to get rid of what we assume is a mole. I have also asked the question, in the 'Question Section'. Thank you.

Thank you Driad, I had heard they are disturbed by noise. I believe they have very sensitive hearing and can hear worms, when they drop down into their tunnels. 'Plan A' will be implemented tomorrow morning.

Thanks Driad and Denise. Having done some serious studying on the subject now. Traps, if placed correctly in a run give a definite result. Noise an smell are also excellent deterents. I believe sonar devices aren't the most reliable. I have been sourcing a trap and moth balls today with limited success. I am trying plan 'A', as recommended by Driad, as there was a third large mole hill on the lawn this morning. As a slight variation, I have dropped a very strong dishwasher air freshner into the bottle as well. I will let you know how I get on.

Never tried this , Alan , but if a funnel of some kind i.e. a bottle with the end cut off is inserted into one of the holes it causes a noise that the mole does not like , and he will move on . The wind blowing over it making a moaning noise . ( Plan A)
