each year I carefully place succulents in the garden in the hope that they will survive. some are starting to show some frost damage. Hoping the worst of the frosts have gone now

I only do it as I have so many Hywel...I would never put my only one out there....but i find that those that do survive do much better the following summer producing more flowers too. It is colder with you most years though so maybe yours need that little bit more protection.

I hope the worst is over too ... but you never know.
I've got a few Graptopetalums and Sedums in an outside shelter, but it never gets frosty in there. They seem to survive, but I'm afraid of trying Aeoniums since I lost a few nice ones some years ago. So I always keep them in the conservatory.
