That is a shame. Did you bring it on from seeds (could be several years to get flowers), buy it in flower (might need feeding if the bulbs are young - high potash) or did you buy bulbs ( I did read somewhere that they should be allowed to dry out in the pot but not be watered over the summer unless they are getting too dry). I will be disappointed if this does not flower next year. I am showing three photos of it so that you can see the back of the flower as well as the front.

Did you get this from that show you went to recently ? It looks very interesting.

I got bulbs from Rose Cottage Nursery,at the Hyde Hall Garden Show.Probably still too young to flower.Seeds of this probably wouldn't be true, although you may get something nice.

No Hywel I did not buy it at the show but we did meet Billy Carruthers the owner of Binny Plants there. Scottish and I are both customers of his nursery. He entered a lovely pot of these at the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Show last year and won a Trophy for it. I had hoped to buy it at the show but none of the traders had any so I was pleased that he could tell me he had some at the nursery. I do like the green on the outside petals. I picked it up on Wednesday. Pcw I did wonder if it would come true from seed. It has an RHS AGM but I'm not sure if that means it should survive outside in our garden. I think excessive rain might damage the flowers. I think it would look lovely near the N. bulbacodium 'Golden Bells' type which you sent me and which gave a grand display on the raised Alpine Bed.
