Back garden on a lovely spring day, breezy but nice

Isn't it great at this time of year? The colour has begun to appear, and everything is still to come...except the snowdrops of course! Everything will be transformed from bare bones soon!

it has been another lovely day here, dark again now, looks a bit like rain. We are forecast a nice day tomorrow if the rain goes over as it is supposed to. Spent the morning tidying up the autumn fruiting raspberry canes and putting in a cutting I had reared from a Hydrangea, quite shocked that I managed to get it to grow, must be getting better at this gardening malarky. Made room to put my Christmas box in place, a three tier box style planter made of wood, going to plant my lettuce leaf in it hoping to keep off the slugs and mice. Well at least it will be easier to control them as I can pellet them up in the boxes away from Walterwoo. Love this time of year.

So do I, Barbara. Your garden looks so tidy! I had such a lovely day in the garden the other day but it's done nothing but rain since then!

We have had a lovely week so far, more forecast for tomorrow, but further across to the west side is rain sorry if you get it. Keep checking out the plant magazines to pass on the time if you are going stir crazy, it might help. :O)

Nothing but cold, miserable grey and rain here for the foreseeable future. I don't think I can ever remember such a persistently cold miserable long winter. We haven't had a mild spell since ....well since about November. It's been miserable. Sunny cold days, bitter gale force winds, wet cold days...and so it goes on. Perhaps April will bring some light and warmth. There is to be a solar eclipse on the morning of my birthday. Perhaps that will change something in the atmosphere...who knows.

still quite chilly down here this morning, sun is trying to get out but sounds like you have had a lot more wind than we have and I know you have had more wet from looking at the forecast. Its still winter until after your birthday, so will be much better then and clocks will go forward so that will help too. The year you were born was the coldest winter, well for the longest amount of time, we could not get out because of the ice and snow we had that winter, so it could be much worse. Spring is only just a few more get ups away lol :O)

Not much wet at all Mum...not here. The water butts have been empty for weeks and weeks. in fact I had to fill them up at the weekend using the hose to stop the wind blowing them over again. We've had a good soaking yesterday is all . Today, dry and not too cold either as the wind had dropped. You're right, not too much snow, but plenty of ice here this winter. So many frosty days. But its coming to an end soon for sure! :)

Hang on in there, Karen! It's been persistently grey here for ages, bar one day when I posted my photo. It's a lot milder than a couple of weeks ago, though. Spring has to be here soon!

Yes, thanks Melchi! We even had a very little sunshine today. And you're right, it's milder. Mostly because there's no wind. Not spring here yet, but hints of it. Rachel says I won't feel it until the first tree buds break. She's probably right!

Spring does seem to be a long time coming this year. I think it's because it's been so grey. It's lovely here at the moment, though - really sunny! I hope it lasts!

breezy here today, bright but not sunny yet!! We did get a nice day yesterday though, hopefully lots more to come. First day of spring today. :O)
