A yellow Jacobinia growing in Ooty botanical Garden India.
Relative of the Shrimp plant.

Oliveo, Ooty is classed as sub tropical, it sits at an altitude of 2240 m with a temperature range of 5 to 25C and annual rainfall of about 50". Don't think Jacobinias would like it here outdoors in the frosts and snows.

Amy, I saw so many exotic plants in India, am just trying to put names to them for a future blog.

What a good idea Siris our Granddaughter enjoyed a months holiday in India this year but I don't think she was interested in plants at least she didn't mention them ...

Probably will need assistance with some of the names.
