Narcissus St Patrick's Day

I had hoped to have some pots of daffodils ready for the Edinburgh SRGC Show last Saturday. The only pot with all the daffs standing upright and flowers open was N. St. Patricks Day. I decided it was not suitable for showing as the flowers were all at different heights. I decided to offer it for the 'Not for competition' table instead. I should have checked that those had to be submitted before the judging started. I arrived too late. As I went to put them back in the car for safekeeping the couple on the front desk offered to look after them. It was a great show and the new Show Secretary must have been very tired but very happy with the day. He deserved all the plaudits coming his way for a first class show. I did not have time to take photos but there are plenty on the SRGC website.
