Japonica? what is this. Novice.....

You can see how high this is from the small garage next to it. One friend said it is a Laurel. One said it was an overgrown Boxwood! I have done some online research and came up with Japonica. But is it?
Can you show close-up of the leaf Samy? Looks very happy there.
