Looks great HB I have gravel around mine and no slugs they dont like gravel.

They have no qualms at getting under the rims of some of my pots,3d,and they are all stood on a gravel garden..If they sense something they like,they will find it..! I try to only have things that don't appeal :o)

I put gravel around mine and inside the pots, have you tried the sticky copper tape which electricutes them I have them on my other pots the only way they get on mine if they climb up some thing close by if the pot is next to a fence for eg.
