Spiderwort (Tradescantia)

Is this an invasive weed or a hardy ground cover? That depends on whose garden it's in. Nothing seems to bother it. The name comes from its medicinal properties and ability to treat spider bites.

hum interesting. I have a blue one in my garden on this side of my house where not much grows. The bees and butterflies are all over it.

Maybe the Tradescantia doesn't like our Welsh soil ...

In my garden it is well behaved. It forms a nice clump and stays there :o)
