That's a good idea. Does this have a strong scent? My 'scented blue', which I thought I got from my sister in law, looks just like this, but I am still waiting for some 2012 purchases to materialise!

I have just gone out and sniffed it and yes it does have a perfume, not strong but sweet and spicy. When I first started this garden ten years ago I sent of for 5 unnamed irises from j parker, as money was scarce, then next year i saved up and bought a collection of eight named irises on an offer. To this day I have only had 3 of the named ones flowering and the others have died, the cheap ones however are still flowering and I have managed to name most of them, go figure!!

I thought Bluebird wine was probably from Parkers? Only Golden Muffin survived from the batch of 4 I bought!
