Wild Roses

Why do the wild roses never have problems - no aphids, mold or anything. It's only the cultivars that need to be coddled.

They always try to claw me to death whenever I go near them. Amazing that this is the genesis of so many cultivars we've come to love.

Love it reminds me of my mums when I was a kid.
They have realised this that wild and old varieties dont get disease so they are now crossing roses with the old and wild ones.
