Looks awful after the winter, then perks up about June time..

Yes I am looking forward to the flowers, we have another Escallonia which is very contrary, this year it is beautiful, last year dismal!!

I can't believe how bright this shrub is! As you say, it looks dreadful in March and then just romps. Yours is going to be covered in flowers soon! :))
