I did read they also come in pink and white but blue is most common.

I think I prefer the common blue one :)

I'd be happy to send you some flower heads. I have loads of them :). The bees love them.

That's kind of you...yes please! I'll pm you with my details if you're sure.

Can I be cheeky Paul, and would you be so kind to include a few seeds for me,via Julia please, seeing as we meet up together ?..hope you don't mind,Julia :o)

OK Sandra, I can include seeds for you. I'm just surprised this plant garnered so much attention. I find it rather ubiquitous. I only leave some around for the bees and butterflies.

Thank you Paul..it's worth a try,as I love blue flowers..and if bees and butterflies love them, that's good enough for me :o)I guess if it's hardy in your zone,it should be ok here..

OK but this is a very fragile plant. It never roots deeply and could fall down if you blow on it.

I'll try and hold my breath ,Paul..not for too long though ! Lol.could you have it as a house plant instead? most of the Tradescantia's we have here, are house plants..
19 Jun, 2015
I suppose you can. Julia says she has a white one. It prefers bright shade, damp soil. It grows very rapidly but very weak.

I have just checked it out Paul, and it seems to be more of a garden plant..but as you say, quite weak, but a tendency to look straggly..maybe not a good idea for where I would want to plant it,so I'll pass if you don't mind, but thank you anyway :o)
