How long did it take to root though?

not long - it was ages growing but it was so exciting seeing it shoot up once it started. Have never grown a rose from a cutting before. :O) the worst part is waiting to see some new growth and then you know it has rooted. I am not very patient, wanted to check it out but didn't disturb it.

Well done, that's beautiful. I tried to grow several cuttings last year. ..not one grew :((

I tried some last year too but they did not succeed. Think it was pure luck with this one Waddy :O) I also managed to grow a Hydrangea from a piece which broke off too. That is now in the garden and growing, wonder what colour it will be.

don't know about green fingers the soil is ingrained into the skin though. lol. gardeners hands I have got. no nailpolish for me. lol the nails have all gone.
