Hosta in Pot
Comments on this photo
looks blue to me...might it be Hosta "Blue Cadet"? You have three or four plants there! they look healthy and should bloom very soon. Don't worry if they don't, if you transfer it to the outside garden it will become much larger and will definitely bloom next season.

Hello Lori, Thank you for your comments.. I have 2 of these in pots,It does flower but i like the foliage best and not so keen when it flowers.. I did transfer it to the garden and the slugs loved it despite my efforts to deter them.. So, back in the pot it went.. I have had this plant for 4-5 years and every 2 yrs i split into 2/3 & refresh compost and give some away..

It is very pretty...sorry to hear about your problem with slugs...giving some to friends and relatives is a real joy. This fall I will have a number of perennials that I will divide and distribute!!! Always room for one more!
It took me a couple of seasons to see the beauty of the flower on the hosta...some are even scented... but now I have enough of them planted that they contribute to the overall show... The blueish leaves make a great contribution to the bed or border too.
