Finally we're at the maximum depth, no more digging will happen until I pick the liner up so that I can empty the pond and take the pond wall down to make it one big pond!

Haha! Because I've left a 2 foot shelf around the edge I can't scoop all the fine bits out of the bottom so I'm using my trusty now chipped blue seaside spade! After 16 years of having it its finally come to some use

Where are the fish going while you break through, lay the liner and refill with water?

We have a large collapsible pond/tank that we bought from the watergarden centre for the fish and waterlily, they'll have two large air pumps pumping the air stones, hopefully they'll only be out of the pond three hours max
