I have a grown up kid who has a phobia for anything that buzzes, its horrible for her, she was stung very badly when she stood on a wasps nest when she was a toddler, scarred her for life. Didn't help when her mum said to her I told you to stay in the car and she got out and stood on it. lol. what are they like!! Think she will never forgive me for it. lol. they learn to do as they are told very quickly though. lol. We had to strip her down to nakedness to get rid of the wasps and put her in a warm water bath diluted with vinegar. Poor girl she hates flowers now because they bring in wasps and bees. Although she tells me since she has been teaching she has been better at controlling the panic she has when she sees one or hears one. Not convinced though she will ever get over her phobia.

Hypnotherapy. That would probably sort it. Anyway, I was going to say that I am chuffed to bits that the Bees have eventually turned up here too. It was the Heuchera flowers that brought them in and it's great to go out and hear a buzz at long last! Callum is almost as bad...hates Bees, panic sets in because of a bad reaction to the sting when he was small. Can't say I blame him. If I had to go to A&E I wouldn't like them either!

No me either, they will never forget their experiences, not good to have bad memories like that. I am ok with them, Paul doesn't like it when one is in the house and if it is a Hornet, he disappears into the bedroom very quickly.

Oh yes, they are frightening! We don't get them here but Callum said they do get them in Perthshire.

strange as I do not get scared of them they are so beautifully marked and coloured. Now snakes I hate and have never been able to hold one, even when the girls have said they are not slimey to the touch do not think I will ever be able to hold one of those. lol. Can you remember the visit to that place at Skeggy when that man threw a rubber one at me. You were not very old about 11 I think. lol.

I have held them though, and no, they aren't slimy or unpleasant at all.
