I usually wait a year or two for my day lilies to bloom - not this one! It bloomed the first year; and that's the Grape Magic! Purple on purple with green eye. Love it!

Thanks Julia!
Hi Alan: Thanks. My ears are still ringing from all the explosions that carried on until 3am. I took my bike ride out to the ocean too which was awesome and snapped some wild flower pics along the way. Today I'm just going to relax my sore legs from all the peddling. How's your tomatoes coming along?

Tomatoes are doing fine, the fruit trusses are forming but no tomatoes yet. Good shower of rain today, which was much needed. Sounds like the celebrations went late into the night ... and why not !

Sure It's really all about family and friends visiting and good food w the BBQ going all night - goes by so quickly. I'm glad I can eat like a horse and never gain weight. My tomatoes are about the same yours, except the cherry tomatoes already have a few good racks of toms.

You lucky man ! I too can eat like a horse, but have to work hard to keep the weight OFF! BBQ-ing is a favourite pastime of mine, when the weather is suitable! 'Butterfly lamb' being one of my specialities ...... nice and pink ?

You can't beat BBQ lamb, but I'd be just as happy with a burger or hot dog - oh the lamb too of course, lol. thanks Alan!
