Wonderful. In the ground? I sew one in our garden center last year and did not buy it as I thought that it would not survive the winter here . Maybe I should have. How hardy is it Pcw? Or do you have it in the pot and pretect it during winter.

It's in the ground and they are probably hardier than you'd think.I expect it gets much colder there than it does here though.

We live on Vancouver Island (close to Victoria). We have mild winters, moderated by Pacific Ocean. I just looked at your winter averages (in Essex) and they are not so different from ours. Maybe a degree or so .That is why I like GOY. We can grow the same plants as you in UK.
I do not think we have enough sunshine for Callistemon in December and January, though. They like lots of sun, do not they? We go "south" for winter every year so I can enjoy them down in Arizona or Mexico.
You can be proud of yours Pcw. It appears that it not only survives but it thrives. So many blooms. It is lovely.
