I am trying to grow Crinum, cannot remember which variety though!!

Possibly x powelli, which is the most hardy. I have had powellii for 3 years now but it has never flowered yet, needs moving I think, in too dry a position. (The asiaticum is more tender and could be enormous, don't know why I bought it - a holiday whim!)

Thank you Dd, Yes, Madeira was beautiful, but not for those with weak legs. Visited 3 beautiful gardens, will try to put some photos on Goy sometime.
