Actually, I live in the Continental temperate zone, some winters are very cold and this Turkish fig dies of cold to the ground then. Then in the spring it shoots up again. However, after such winters the figs on it do not have time to ripen. This winter was mild, so figs stayed on branches the whole winter and now are just increasing in the size and ripening. I think, this season is a Fig Season for me.
If you have mild winters, then you can enjoy this shrub.
