Perplexed!!!

This plant is supposed to be an offshoot from a very mature Tree Peony.I planted it about 5 weeks ago and the growth has been quite rapid,starting at 4" and now 3'.
It has shown some variegation which I put down to the stress of moving.....but the flower bud is very different to that of the Tree Peony.It is showing pale shades of pink when the original is yellow.
Please could anyone throw any light on this problem.Have included another photo.
Just wondering if this really is from the original TP.
