Apple Orchard

The apple and pear trees over here seem to be producing bumper crops this year Paul.

Same here Paul. Everybody's fruit trees are going bonkers. Probably due to the extended summer we are having. The weather still feels like August.

Got much colder here, the last couple of days and non stop rain but, the forecast is for a very mild October but, I'll believe it when I see it!!

any bee hives ? looks a good spot for them

Super sight. So many orchards here have sadly gone.

Thrupennybi - Yes, we've picked over 30lbs of apples. Been making pies, caramel apples and you name it. Never get tired of eating them. You just have to watch out for worms.

Julia - Why have your apple orchards gone? What happened to them?

Just posted an answer Paul, but it disappeared so here goes again. I'm not entirely sure but I think it's just a change of farming trends. Gone is the small farmer with his small farmer with his orchard and rooting pigs in favour of larger farms and larger more profitable fields. Sigh!
