Agapanthus campanulatus

Agapanthus like to be crowded so I took a medium sized plastic flower put, cut the bottom off it, buried it in the ground and planted the agapanthus bulbs in it. This is the result

It may just need a good feed? The other alternative is to empty the pot when they are dormant, remove all the compost and put them back in the same pot (or a slightly larger one) with fresh compost

Thanks. I'll try feeding it now and give new compost in the spring. It's been in that pot for several years.

My Agapanthus is in a clay pot and I delibaretely haven't repotted it because as you say they like to be crowded. But it only has a few small leaves and few small flower heads. Would you be able to tell me if I should repot it ?
