I grew this plant from seed. It produced this single seed pod. I'll try to germinate a few seeds indoors.

Would you like me to send you some seeds Klahanie? The seed pod contains a couple hundred seeds. The germination rate however is very low.

It doesn't look like a weed , does it grow wild Paul ?

I agree Amy. "Weed" is a misnomer. It did grow wild here at at one time, but because of development and agriculture, it's very very rare to find any. It's the only plant the Monarch Butterfly feeds on.

I think its lovely and a bonus if the Monarch Butterfly feeds on it .. :o)

Yes, so do I. When this seed pod opens, hundreds of seeds will disperse on "little airplanes." I want to re-introduce this plant to the area.
