The pathway to the cottage, old metal arches (don't think they will last much longer)

Honeysuckle - yellow one from the wood climbing all over now with a few primroses on the side border and to the right Daylily Kwanso. Lottie loves to walk down this path and touch the various little Holly bushes (selfsets) think it is because they are shiny.

I love being out there pottering, it will not stay this tidy when things start to do their own thing Dd. We have had lovely sunshine today so I did some rose bush pruning, hoping for more tomorrow, lots of chopping back to be done.

Re your arches, you really cannot win, we have metal, iron and wood, but they all wear out far too quickly, and the large wooden ones are a nightmare to take down and large Pergolas even worse!!

I know - we have just had to prop up a big wooden arch with a strong stake, it was starting to lean badly - think we have succeeded with it though so all good. :O)
