Looking over the pond..

The thin new section of the pond is around three feet deep at the very end, gradually going going to just one feet deep where it joins the old pond (so that when I drain to clean it the fish can go in one side whilst the other is cleaned) it is also a very still area so it's where the the waterlilies and oxygenating plants (elodea) and water hawthorns grow. This area is also illuminated at night because it's the part closest and most visible from the house :)
