Ready to plant a new rhodo, must get it in, cleared out an old one that never grew very big and had to take the day lily out as full of couch grass :-( going to try and save some though

Which rhodo are you going to put there, Daylily. I am rhododendron crazy. Have so many. Had to look up Canadian Border Control daylily. It is pretty.

Hi Klahanie I bought Dr Reiger in the sale last year, have kept it in a pot, but itching to get it in the ground now but have had quite a bit of rain lately and weekend forecast not good either :-\

I think I know that rhododendron Daylily. We call it here in Canada "Gartendirektor Rieger" ("Adriaan Koster" x williamsianum) ?
If it is the same, it is very beautiful . From Dietrich Hobbie, (Germany) ??. Very respected grower.
It will look beautiful in that spot. It will brighten the whole area with its lovely creamy flowers. Looking forward to see it.
I have 'Gartendirektor Glocker’ (‘Doncaster’ x williamsianum) from the same grower which is a small rhododendron with red flowers.

That's great it sounds lovely, I hope so, my neighbour has some gorgeous ones they have been in their for years our original neighbour is now in his 90's, but a new family live there now, but the rhodos are over 30 years old I reckon and when I saw them reduced could not resist :-) ps yes when I Google it it says the longer name for it. Pps we got snow this morning!
