Well I planted some aquilegia and lupin plants in the big border yesterday and as I dug the holes for the plants the holes filled up with water bpnus they didn't watering in. lol :O)

Its so dry here I had to water everything in again yesterday and the soil is cracking like pie crust!

Its the fierce winds that dry everything out...especially the raised borders and the golden border which is steeply sloping. I had the Tar Man up today. He is going to redo our drive, but taking out a decent sized bit in front of the greenhouse for veggie plot. :)) hopefully May.

oooer that sounds interesting, new veggie border, great idea. :O) just finished digging mine over, have planted one of the six partitions up with strawberries for me and Lottie and if Grandad is good we will share. lol :O)

Nice work! Once its been dug out we'll see whats under the hard core. Might need to be just raised planters, but time will tell. I think that would look prettier anyway.

I just presumed you would go for raised planers. Scott is so good with the wood making crafts. I agree it would be so pretty just in front of the greenhouse :O)
