This is the first pic I've seen on here of a gesneriad... A wonderful family of plants...I like the achimenes, gloxinia and saintpaulia too. Once had an Episcia as a house plant, called Chocolate Soldier..people usually refer to them as flame violets...gorgeous things...

Nice pic. I love streptocarpus. I had a few, but they did not survive. Any tips on growing them?

I'm afraid not, Tastey, they're not mine. I took the photo on a visit to RHS Wisley It was in the new glasshouse there so must need special conditions.
