do these flowers become berries?

The flowers on my Solanum are all green berries now. I have just asked about pruning it, which I must do in early spring. I'm sorry but it seems I have only just noticed your question!

no problem, Feverfew! It is a beautiful plant when it is well contained. I think you should be able to prune at just about any time, if it's like the solanum I have on our property. It probably was part of an earlier garden but it's gone wild and I didn't dispose of cuttings, roots, etc. in a timely way, and now I have it everywhere! Like tomatoes it's vine has a peculiar smell when cut, and I think the berries are a bird/rodent favourite because, as I said, it's everywhere! It loves lots of moisture and has colonized whole sections of the stream side. I would suggest that you keep a close eye! ;-) (love those purple flowers and the red berries.)

I'm leaving the berries for the birds. I don't think it will overtake in my garden as it's sandy soil & dries out too quickly. Had a job getting it established & have had to water & give it an occasional feed.
