Have just realised the majority of our Clematis are mostly in the mauve, claret, purple shades!!

I used to love my Chiisanesis 'Love Child' in pale Lemon Yellow. It is very similar to the new var. that won the prize at Chelsea this year. I could hardly see any difference. I would love to have it again as it had a nice scent and didn't mind a bit of shade. It also flowered over a long period, and had pretty foliage. I don't know why it's not more widely grown come to think of it!
