I can see the fish using the lilly pads for shade the leaves will soon turn green.

Yes will shade the water too prevent it getting blanket weed. I have to use Barly Straw liquid to keep the blanket weed at bay until the lilly pads grow.

Yes I've been using a liquid barley straw solution until now, it's just growing back but I'm nt retreating it because the lilies are growing nicely now

Yes! Just topped the pond up with rain water from the Waterbutt! Lovely and clean!

Bet the fish and water lillies will like that no need topping up here we have had lots of rain.

Yesterday and today have been very warm! Topped up next doors pond too as I look after it for them, it took 20 minutes to unclog their pump because of their blanket weed, they only have one waterlily in their pond and one waterlily.

Thsts kind of you looking after your neighbours pond yes the blanket weed gets around every thing.

Yes! It's a lot smaller than my pond but they both work away so we always look after it as they are only here weekends
