Do you remember that huge thistle that grew in your back border last year? Well, I've accidentally done the same this year...thinking it was an Eryngium! Now I've realised its just a thistle and its big! I shant remove it though...let it do its thing now.

I do remember, they can be spectacular if they are not in the way.

Thankfully it is nowhere near as big as yours, but it's a bit large for where it's growing.

don't think mine has returned must go up there and check it out.

if its the common Scotch Thistle, Cirsium Vulgare, it's biennial.

ah right maybe it was then, cannot say I have noticed it this year and I was up there weeding last weekend, so think I would have spotted it if it had been there.
