Plum tree problems

We had that problem one year, so much fruit that it bends the branch down and in some cases breaks the branch. Think you have done all you can it should be ok with the prop under it until the fruit is ripe. It has been a good spring for fruit development, rain, sun, rain sun and they love it like that.

At least you have fruit. I have no fruit on any of my three plum trees this year. Not one. Agree with Mum though Brian...you've done all you can.

Sorry I saw the last photo first I didn't realize there were plums on it , lets hope they stand a chance of ripening !

Just looked at your 2 photos, oh dear, glad you spotted in time to put a post under it. We got a lots of plums (sorry Karen) on our trees which also has some very low bending branches but Shadow, my naughty 11 month puppy (who at this rate won't make a yr :-)) has worked out how to open all my doors and is picking the green plums off the tree! Lucky they don't seem to upset his tummy.
