cleaned the roots up best I could, and replanted. coming along but very reluctantly.

it seems like it's cursed, Karen. This year it's those brown beetles with the orange legs... they love any flower blossom and will take the petals off of anything. Have picked them off of asclepias, daisies, irises, roses...they are a real pest.
