Creeping groundcover plant from New Zealand. Takes sun or part shade in a moist, but not waterlogged soil. Allegedly hardy to only -5C, I have been growing this without any winter protection for 15 years. Can get to three feet or more across.

it doesn't, it just creeps along the ground. I cut mine back by half each spring to stop it spreading too far.

So it wouldn't 'creep' upwards if it encountered a wall then?

The simple answer is I don't know as mine has never encountered a wall.

Have several seedlings, 3 ft across is good and how tall has yours got in the 15 years?
